Those who knew him will remember a life lived with enthusiasm, compassion, and a hopeful spirit. He approached the world with curiosity and energy, always ready for the next adventure, whether that meant climbing a mountain, exploring the outdoors, or sharing a laugh with friends and family.

He was a man of boundless energy and love — someone who showed that life was meant to be lived fully. The mountains he loved to climb reflected the way he moved through life: always looking upward, embracing the challenge, and appreciating the beauty along the way.

He carried with him a deep compassion for others and a hopeful outlook that extended beyond the present moment, holding a quiet but steady view toward eternity.

His family and friends will remember the laughter, the stories, the adventures, and the love he shared so freely. His spirit lives on in the many lives he touched and in the mountains, trails, and memories he leaves behind.

He will be sorely missed by our extended family. Uncle Jack was the fun and mischievous uncle who made every family gathering an adventure. His zest for life, interest in others, and appreciation of nature made a huge impact on my life. May Aunt Mary Jane and all the cousins find comfort in the great love he had for them.

Beautifully written cousin ♥️ Mine & Jeff’s heartfelt prayers are with you, Aunt M.J. & all the family. You were all at the summit of that mountain of friends & extended family that he enthusiastically built & invested in over these many years. There was not a single time that I personally was with him that one or more of you weren’t brought up with love, pride & gratefulness. Carpe Diem! For he is resting in peace.& the hope of eternity ✝️

Thank you dearest brother John for the many coffee sessions we enjoyed together discussing life and the Lord. Your stories were timeless and captivating. Your prayers were empowering. Your faith was inspiring. You took pride and care in everything you did, like the Shabbat morning lessons with meticulously crafted notes to accompany your thoughts. You always had a word of encouragement, and you were unashamedly a follower of our Lord and Savior, Yeshua Jesus! It was my total honor to say that I knew you as a dear friend. Thank you brother, thank you! To Alone God be the Glory!
